Making your period panties like new with a simple and powerful step-by-step guide
If you already use period panties, you know they are truly amazing, right? But for them to keep performing at maximum capacity, there is one essential care step that makes all the difference: deep cleaning. When blood accumulates in the inner layers, absorption capacity can decrease significantly. And nobody wants to deal with that. So let’s learn how to do this power cleaning, step-by-step, with lots of care. 💗
1. Test for Blood Residue 🔍
First of all, let’s see if there really is blood accumulated in the panty layers.
Take your dry panty, turn it inside out, and apply a little bit of 10-volume hydrogen peroxide directly onto the absorbent layers.
If it starts to bubble, it’s a sign that there is still blood there. In that case, it’s time to prepare for a deep clean.
If nothing happens, great, your panty is clean and ready for the next use. ✨
2. Applying the Magic Mixture 🧪
With a positive test, let’s move on to the second step. With the panty already dampened by the hydrogen peroxide, add baking soda and spread it gently over the absorbent area.
Let it sit for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
This combination helps to brighten and deeply clean the inner layers of the panty.
3. Time for a Powerful Soak 💦
Now, let your panties soak.
Use the same soap you use for your regular laundry, but here is a valuable tip: coconut soap is wonderful for this.
Also, add white vinegar (distilled white vinegar), which acts as a fungicide and bactericide.
It helps with brightening and boosts the cleaning process.
Be generous with the dose: at least 50 ml of vinegar to ensure the effect. 🌿
4. Sun, the Perfect Ally ☀️
If it’s a sunny day, take advantage of it.
The sun is a powerful natural whitener and an incredible bactericide.
Leave the panty in the sun after soaking for a few hours, always with the liner facing outward.
If it’s not sunny, that’s okay too.
Let it soak overnight in an airy place.
5. Final Wash and Drying 🌬️
After soaking, wash as normal, either by hand or in the machine.
If possible, finish by drying in the sun.
The sun continues to help with brightening and speeds up the drying process.
If there is no sun, choose a well-ventilated spot.
The important thing is that the panty dries completely in an airy environment.
6. Regular Maintenance ✨
Deep cleaning does not need to be done every cycle.
The ideal is to do it at most every three months.
This way, you keep your panties clean, soft, and absorbing at maximum power.
Gabriela’s story: what deep cleaning can do 🫶✨
I want to share a curious story from Gabriela, a very dear customer.
She had been using her period panties for almost a year, but started to feel that the absorption wasn't the same anymore.
Even though she washed them properly, something felt different.
She decided to try the deep cleaning method to see if there was any blood residue, especially in the black lining which hides it well.
The result?
Impressive.
The panty bubbled, heated up, and even released some steam when she applied the solution.
She had no idea there was so much internal accumulation.
After the deep clean, the panty became soft, light, and absorbent again, just like on the first day.
Zero stiffness, zero difficulty drying, maximum absorption.
Like new. 🩷
And look at her feedback afterwards:

How about testing this on yours too?
Let me know how it goes. I would love to hear about it. 🥰
